The purpose of this study is to understand how best to help people living with HIV increase their physical activity. We focus on helping people find ways to increase their steps and walk more each day.

Each participant will receive a free Fitbit and some combination of individual coaching or other programs to help increase physical activity.

Programs will be offered by phone or over a secure video service like Zoom.

Will I be compensated?

Yes! Participants can receive up to $322.

What does the study involve?

  • Wearing a Fitbit monitor

  • Attending individual study sessions with research staff over 6 months. Most of these sessions will be by phone or video.

  • Having 2 blood draws and completing surveys

How do I qualify?

  • Age 50 years or older

  • Be HIV+*

  • Want to increase your physical activity

*HIV status will be verified with health provider or medication
